Note: in the below text, fill in:
<user_id> with the user ID of the user you want to grant access to, and
<linux_group> with the name of your linux group you want to provide this user access to.

The following procedure will give <user_id> access to files and directories controlled by linux group <linux_group>, including files and directories in and under: /share/<linux_group> and /usr/local/usrapps/<linux_group>.The user <user_id> will remain in their current HPC project group.

a) navigate to https://research.oit.ncsu.edu
b) navigate to the "Manage Projects" part of that page
c) click on the eye, not the pencil
d) scroll down to GROUP MEMBERS section and select “Manage”
e) select “Create HPC Linux Group Entry” button
f) create HPC Linux group entry: Choose <linux_group> for Group Name, and type <user_id> for Login
g) leave all other fields as they are, then click green "Create" button.
