These applications are not officially maintained, that is, HPC does not update this software or provide official support or documentation.
Sponsored applications are sponsored by users who have volunteered to share their software installations with users outside of their project group and to field basic questions about usage. There is no expectation that applications will be updated to the latest version, or that the installations have been rigorously tested, or that the person volunteering to field questions will have the capacity to provide extensive or time sensitive troubleshooting or training for the applications.
To access these applications, send email to HPC requesting access to the software group. Access will be enabled at 6:30p.m. from when then request is acknowledged in ServiceNow.
Request access to the Linux group ncdfutil
This software group is an attempt to make the task of running large scientific codes less arduous by gathering complicated software stacks required by applications and make them available as modules, as opposed to each research group attempting to install from scratch.
With the knowledge that different versions of each application may require different compilers and different versions of each component of the stack, I will not be able to provide modules for every application. Please contact me with instructions for any stacks your group had to manually install if they might be useful to other groups. Due to the time required, I cannot figure out and install all of the stacks myself, and I do not have the domain knowledge to test all of them, but if you send instructions that I can easily replicate, I can replicate them in the ncdfutil space to make them available to others.
Put the following command in your .tcsh or .bashrc file, or type it in the terminal before using and put in LSF submission scripts. This is required for some modules, specifically UFS, as the full paths are not included in the main module.
module use --append /usr/local/usrapps/ncdfutil/modulefiles
module use --appendcommand is given, do:
module avail module load [package]
