Second Speaker
Het Patel, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Title: Use of HPC to Discover Flow Physics from Large Fluid Dataset

HPC Research Symposium

Presentations from groups using HPC resources, update from HPC staff, and time to socialize with other HPC users.
These informal gatherings, occurring every two months, allow HPC users from across campus to learn about research computing projects both within and outside of their domain, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, cross-pollination, and the knowledge exchange of HPC tricks and techniques. At each meeting, two presenters will share their experiences with using the Henry2 cluster, including a discussion of computational methodologies and a summary of research results.

Typical symposium agenda

  • Update on HPC service
  • 10 minute presentations by two groups using HPC resources
  • Refreshments, networking, and socializing

Location
