There are several legacy applications available on the cluster. They are not guaranteed to work, and staff cannot troubleshoot these applications. They may be deleted at any time. Users should check the documentation for how to run the software, including how many processors should be used. Before using the software for academic purposes or for research, it should be confirmed that the existing versions do not contain serious bugs.
To find unsupported software, e.g. OLDAPP on Henry2, look through the directories of /usr/local/apps. If there is an environment file, generally containing the name of the program and the version number with suffix .sh, the environment including the executable path and library paths may be set by doing:
source /usr/local/apps/OLDAPP/OLDAPP.sh
If the code is serial, and the executable is called OLDAPP, a general batch script would look something like:
#!/bin/bash #BSUB -n 1 #BSUB -W 20 #BSUB -o outLog.%J #BSUB -e errLog.%J source /usr/local/apps/OLDAPP/OLDAPP.sh OLDAPPFor more options on creating a batch script, see the documenation on running jobs.
